Moxie Malekin’s life has been centered around the adventures she finds in books, offering her an escape from her outsider’s world and the loss of her mother and her father’s mysterious disappearance. When her father goes missing while searching for Atlantis, her world is turned upside down, and she is sent to live with relatives in England. Her journey soon takes her across continents and into fantastical worlds where animals talk, dragons soar, and elves and dwarves battle, all ignited by her story and the mysteries surrounding her family and the fantastical realms they involve.
