Set in 2045 amid a world in chaos known as "The Long Collapse," this story follows residents of Salmon Springs in the Pacific Northwest as they navigate a society strained by shortages, violence, and fractured governments. Amidst widespread turmoil, four college friends—Sasha, Jill, Dugen, and Nate—reconnect after twenty years to confront their shared past and personal journeys of mourning and self-discovery during a time of societal disintegration.
