History of Marathas EP18 - Mahadji Scindia

During 1785 and 1786, Tipu Sultan led a series of brutal campaigns, including mass conversions and violent atrocities against Hindus and Christians, such as tying victims to elephants in acts of terror. That same year, he declared himself emperor and sought to assert his independence by having the khutba read in his name across his kingdom, challenging existing allegiances and asserting his authority.
