Lucas Trust appears to have it all—wealth, property, and a partner—until his mysterious past comes back into focus. As Willie, who has been painting Luke's house, becomes involved in a murder mystery, he is also guided by the voice of a fictional detective, Short Top Detroit, who struggles with solving problems. The story unfolds in a series of unusual and perilous encounters, blending mystery and surreal elements.
