Rootless

In a bleak, environmentally devastated world, 17-year-old Banyan creates artificial forests for the wealthy, despite never having seen a true tree. His quest for the last surviving trees leads him into dangerous territory, including encounters with pirates and locusts that threaten human life, as he seeks to uncover secrets about his family and the past. Along the way, he forms a risky alliance with a fierce pirate named Alpha, all while racing toward a possibly mythical salvation.
