Assassin and Philosopher

Set in the turbulent late third century A.D., this story follows Mucapor, a Roman Praetorian Guard prefect, who becomes embroiled in political intrigue and betrayal after being ordered to handle a dangerous operative, Mnestheus. When plans go awry, Mucapor assassinates Emperor Aurelian to protect himself, leading to a series of intense alliances, conflicts, and personal sacrifices. As the characters navigate a violent and unpredictable path through war-torn Persia, their actions set off a chain of consequences that threaten their futures and families.
