Rex Vahl, a seasoned veteran of previous conflicts with the genetically altered superpower known as the Perfected Hegemony, faces new challenges when he's ordered to establish contact with nations bordering Hegemon space. What begins as a diplomatic mission quickly unveils a full-scale war, with the Hegemons launching devastating invasions of neighboring worlds. Trapped on a besieged planet alongside new allies, Rex must navigate desperate circumstances where victory could alter the course of the galaxy's conflict, and defeat could mean annihilation.
