Karoo Boy

Karoo Boy by Troy Blacklaws is a compelling coming-of-age story set in 1970s South Africa, following Douglas as he navigates life after a tragic loss and a move to the harsh Karoo landscape. Amidst a community wary of outsiders, he forms meaningful connections with a girl named Marika and an old man called Moses. Richly detailed and atmospheric, the novel explores themes of growth and resilience in the face of chaos and change.
