One Summer

Nathan Forrest, a talented jazz trumpeter and a lapsed Catholic, falls in love with Dorothy, a Protestant girl from a middle-class family, amid the challenges of mid-20th century Scotland. Against the backdrop of declining shipyards and social tensions, they strive to overcome prejudice and societal barriers.
