Construct-Twelve, a creature born from the remnants of dead men in a deep dungeon, finds himself unexpectedly free after a destructive fire, only to grapple with a world that feels vast and terrifying. Resigned to his existence as a moral and physical abomination, he seeks solace in the confinement of a prison cell. His bleak world begins to change when a fellow prisoner surprises him with song, sparking a connection that could challenge his bleak outlook in this gothic romantasy set in 1818 Bavaria.
