Hayesville

Hayesville is a small town that has managed to remain somewhat insulated from the racial tensions affecting the rest of the country, with black and white residents living together, though not always peacefully. The story follows Lael, a valedictorian preparing to graduate, whose life and family are challenged when her relationship with an old friend from the East Side shifts. As she navigates personal and community conflicts, Lael embarks on a journey of self-discovery and questions where her true boundaries lie.
