I Once Knew Vincent

Set against the backdrop of Europe's vibrant artistic scene in 1882, this story follows Maria, a tough, honest girl living in The Hague with her mother, Sien, an alcoholic prostitute. When the famed artist Vincent Van Gogh visits their home, his presence and ambitions profoundly impact their lives, especially Maria’s, who becomes his secret art critic and emotional confidante.
