The Man-Eaters of Tsavo, and Other East African Adventures

During the construction of a railway bridge in Kenya in 1898, two man-eating lions caused a nine-month disruption by targeting workers, evading all attempts to stop them until they were finally killed by Colonel J.H. Patterson. The audiobook recounts these dramatic events, as well as the subsequent completion of the bridge amid additional challenges and local wildlife tales. The story of the Tsavo lions has been adapted into film multiple times, including the 1996 movie The Ghost and the Darkness.
