Gender, Disability, and Literature

This book examines how gender, disability, and literature intersect in the context of the Global South, with a focus on Nepal. It analyzes the autobiographical writings of two Nepali women writers, Bishnu Kumari Waiwa and Jhamak Ghimire, who challenge societal stigmas by highlighting sexuality and disability as sources of creativity and identity. Guided by feminist disability and theory, the study offers insights into cultural perceptions of gender and ability through their narratives.
