Lexa Pate, a 17-year-old skilled thief, finds herself and her adoptive family targeted by dangerous forces after an accidental theft of genetically-engineered superhuman plans. As she struggles to protect her loved ones, Lexa encounters a mysterious stranger from her past who may hold the key to her identity and future. Set in a near-future world inspired by the fairy tale Pinocchio, the story explores themes of trust, deception, and the blurred line between right and wrong.
