Set against the backdrop of a politically charged period leading up to the 2016 U.S. election, this story follows Niran, a young Iraqi Muslim immigrant, as she seeks her place in a predominantly conservative, Iraqi Christian community. Inspired by the ancient Mesopotamian priestess Enheduanna, Niran faces societal challenges, cultural stereotypes, and strives to make her voice heard. As she pursues her dreams of study, work, and love, she navigates the expectations of strong women around her and her own personal aspirations.
