Dreamer at the End of the Universe

This book, part of a trilogy titled The Land, recounts the epic history of four generations of a Celtic family grappling with the challenging wilderness of Central Ontario, where humans and animals share a complex relationship. Set against the backdrop of the diverse and ecologically rich “Land Between,” the story explores themes of nature’s ownership, survival, and the interconnectedness of all living beings. Originally unintended as a trilogy, the narrative grew as the land’s animals and people seemed to demand remembrance, capturing a deep enchantment with the land and its inhabitants.
