In a near-future world where young women known as "Shine" possess extraordinary, often unpredictable abilities, a group of escaped Shines seeks safety after fleeing a re-education facility. As they hide in an abandoned LA library basement, they become entangled in a growing conflict involving powerful forces and a sinister plan to manipulate their abilities.
