A pioneer in country music, he made significant contributions through over seventy movies and numerous soundtrack performances, including the famous theme from High Noon. His accomplishments have been recognized with several prestigious honors, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.
