Set on an icy Arctic peninsula, the Svalbard School trains students from around the world in specialized Victorian-inspired programs, including the art of working with animals. When Sunday Gråe is accepted into the secretive Animalia program, she uncovers dangerous mysteries as students begin to go missing. Blending light fantasy and an alternate Victorian setting, this story explores themes of connection to nature and the pursuit of meaningful goals.
