An Ocean Apart

Inspired by the real-life stories of the Windrush Generation and her mother’s experiences, Sarah Lee’s debut novel, An Ocean Apart, follows Ruby and Connie Haynes as they travel from Barbados to England in 1954 to train as nurses.
