Out of the Rain

Edward Netherford's orderly life is upended when the boisterous Brockman family demands the return of stolen Impressionist paintings linked to their late father's estate, and ongoing absent replies from the second Mrs. Brockman leave the situation unresolved. To address the issue, Edward travels to York, where unexpected events—including a fire and new companionship—disrupt his plans and introduce unexpected distractions from the inheritance dispute.
