When Holly Forkner goes missing in Upland, Arizona, her husband Chief of Police Troy Forkner searches the wilderness while various law enforcement officers and locals grapple with different theories about her disappearance. Officer Nina Miller suspects an accomplice and possible hiding spots, while Rookie Officer Pike Tso considers supernatural explanations involving Navajo spirits. Amid these investigations, other characters become entangled in separate conflicts, adding complexity to the mysterious case.
