Fireflies

Dr. Owen Whelan and his wife Sarah have seven children, one of whom, Ennis, is exceptionally unusual and has been followed by lost souls since birth. Ennis's behavior becomes increasingly mysterious after he finds a bird and claims it flew away, leading to revelations of healing abilities and the gift of sight. As Ennis begins to experience visions of the past, including his father's voyage to America in 1844, the family is drawn into a series of profound and possibly life-changing events.
