The Council of Animals

Read by the author, Nick McDonell's The Council of Animals is an engaging fable that explores the perspectives of animals during a post-apocalyptic time, as they deliberate whether to assist or prey upon surviving humans. Featuring animals such as a cat, dog, crow, baboon, horse, and bear, the story combines timeless storytelling with themes of compassion and survival. Though it is a thought-provoking narrative, it concludes with a somewhat optimistic ending.
