The Chimney Sweep's Ransom

Set in eighteenth-century northern England, this story follows thirteen-year-old Ned Carter, who has been working in hazardous coal mines since a young age to support his family. Ned’s urgent desire to save his little brother Pip from the same bleak future leads him on a daring quest after Pip is unexpectedly taken away to be trained as a chimney sweep.
