Tory, recently returned to Santa Cruz and her family, begins a new job at the local hospital’s emergency department, where she notices odd cases that pique her curiosity. As she navigates her professional and personal life, including an accidental fake dating situation with the Medical Director, Mildred, she faces the challenges of forging connections and uncovering mysterious hospital cases. Meanwhile, Mildred, managing a busy department and family expectations, finds herself unexpectedly drawn to Tory.
