Death Drives an Audi

In Kristian Bang Foss’s darkly comic, prize-winning road novel, Asger, recently ousted from his job and home, becomes the carer of Waldemar, Denmark’s sickest man, leading them on a chaotic journey across Europe. Their quest for a supposed miracle cure takes them from Copenhagen to Morocco, with unexpected company and unforeseen challenges along the way. Blending humor and tragedy, the story explores themes of friendship, hope, and defying the odds in a satirical depiction of life on the margins.
