The Undertaking

An ordinary German soldier, Peter Faber, marries Katharina Spinell in a marriage of convenience during wartime, leading to an unexpected mutual attraction. As Peter faces the horrors of the front lines near Stalingrad, Katharina becomes entangled with the Nazi party in Berlin, driven by her family's desperation.
