The Little Stranger

Set in postwar rural Warwickshire, this story follows Dr. Faraday, a country physician, as he visits the declining Hundreds Hall, home to the long-suffering Ayres family. Once grand, the Georgian estate now shows signs of decay, reflecting the family's struggles to adapt to a changing world. As the narrative unfolds, mysterious and unsettling elements begin to intertwine with Dr. Faraday’s life, hinting at darker forces at play. The novel is currently adapted into a major motion picture directed by Lenny Abrahamson.
