Rezsia, a city girl and novice wolfwalker, is tasked by the elders to investigate strange deaths in the wilderness, challenging her limited survival skills and her nascent telepathic bond with wolves. Guided by an experienced wolfwalker named Coale, she navigates the mysteries of the forest and the secrets of the packsong, which holds its own dangers.
