Constable Paul Hirschhausen, new to a rural community south of the Flinders Ranges, experiences a peaceful holiday season filled with community efforts and local incidents. However, his sense of tranquility is interrupted by a series of troubling events, including a violent incident and a call from Sydney police to check on a distant family.
