Iolithie, a member of the royal family’s extended circle, finds her life upended when she is chosen to marry Prince Tykavn after his intended bride is killed by supernatural beings. As she adjusts to her new role, she uncovers disturbing aspects of her husband's obsession with religious rituals and devotion to the sun-god Ama. With her pleas for help falling on deaf ears, Iolithie must embark on a perilous journey across dangerous lands to seek aid from her father-in-law, facing the threats of the Unseen and their dark goddess along the way.
