"Countdown to Terror" by Congressman Curt Weldon reveals insights from an informant with access to secret Iranian councils, warning of imminent terrorist threats against the US. The book discusses missed opportunities and the reluctance of US intelligence agencies to heed these warnings, including an imminent threat called "The 12th Imam." Weldon critiques the dysfunction within American intelligence and questions whether recent restructuring efforts will enhance national security.
