Far From My Father's House

Set in 1915, this story follows Blake, a boy raised on a Yorkshire farm whose world is shattered when his grandparents pass away. As he grows, he navigates life working on a neighboring farm and harboring a secret love for Annie, the farmer’s daughter. Blake then ventures to Sunderland’s shipyards to forge his own path, promising to return for Annie, but questions linger about whether she will wait for him.
