Play for a Kingdom

Set during the Civil War in May 1864, this story follows a group of Union soldiers from diverse backgrounds who unexpectedly encounter Confederate troops while relaxing and playing baseball. Over the course of several encounters, including battles like Spotsylvania, the game gradually takes on a deeper significance, exploring themes of humanity, loyalty, and the costs of betrayal amidst the horrors of war.
