The Third Hill North of Town

In 1962, Julianna Dapper escapes from a mental hospital in Bangor, Maine, with the intention of returning to her roots in a small Northern Missouri farming community, where her life took a pivotal turn long ago. Along her journey, she encounters a shy teenage African-American boy and a young hitchhiker fleeing from the law, forming unexpected bonds that intertwine their fates. As truths from Julianna’s past begin to emerge, their shared experiences hint at the potential to turn hardship into strength and find her way home.
