Manzakar

The Gohari are a nomadic, magic-possessing people suffering under the rule of the Kingdom of Anzor, which uses enslaved soldiers called Manzakars—elite fighters skilled in horsemanship and archery—to exert control. Tikran, a former slave who becomes the celebrated Manzakar and king’s bodyguard, begins to see the darker truths behind Anzor’s exploitation of both his people and their magic. Faced with moral choices, he must decide whether to continue pursuing personal glory or to fight against the oppression inflicted upon the Gohari and their land.
