Life of a Klansman

"Life of a Klansman" by Edward Ball, a descendant of a Ku Klux Klan member, explores his family's history rooted in white supremacist violence during the post-Civil War era. Combining personal memoir with historical research, the book examines the life of his great-great grandfather, a Louisiana ship carpenter and militant racist, alongside stories from African American descendants affected by his actions. This family portrait offers insights into the connections between past and present in the ongoing legacy of racial hatred.
