Like the Down of a Thistle

Set in 1740s Scotland amid the Highland Clearances, this story follows Anna Cumnock as she struggles to save her croft and care for her daughter after personal tragedy and external hardships threaten her livelihood. When a new neighbor, Katherine, offers help and understanding, the two women form a bond that intertwines their lives and hearts. As they work together to overcome challenges and internalize their growing feelings, they must confront societal and personal obstacles that threaten to tear them apart and test their courage and love.
