Jack is overwhelmed by despair after the loss of the Dagger of Vitality, the only source to break his curse, which he believes Erikson has destroyed. His friends, including Nyala, Briar, Luke, and Zach, are puzzled and worried as they seek alternative solutions, with tensions rising over Jack’s desire for revenge. As Jack's anger intensifies, his friends try to remain hopeful and understand Erikson’s growing power, all while grappling with the potential consequences of his reckless pursuit.
