The Wake of the Bertrand

Kyle MacKenzie is tasked with scouting at Fort Sully in the Dakota Territory when he notices recent wagon tracks heading in his direction. Intrigued and concerned about the welfare of those traveling, he follows the trail and becomes aware of a group heading into potentially dangerous Sioux territory, including women who seem out of place. As he races to reach them, he faces the challenge of protecting the travelers from impending danger.
