Seventeen-year-old Becky Martin, an aspiring stand-up comedian, embarks on a relationship with Kip Costello, a rising star in the San Francisco comedy scene, which initially boosts her confidence. However, she soon uncovers a disturbing darker side to Kip, as their relationship shifts from loving to controlling.
