New Start

In the tumultuous world of 2106, where an authoritarian "Brotherhood" enforces male superiority and dictatorial rule, Jan Sussinissen, son of a rebel leader, escapes to an earthlike planet called New Start. Sneaking aboard a faster-than-light spaceship, he aims to instill civilized values in a society set to be ruled by feudal lords and serf-like workers. After a harrowing encounter with monstrous "insect men," Jan survives by applying his survival skills to build a new life on a remote island, while secretly plotting a rebellion against the oppressive regime with the help of a resourceful entertainer, Barbara Levy.
