After his mother mysteriously leaves and stops responding, Tavian and his sister Gertie face new dangers when an inheritance puts Gertie in jeopardy. Living in their unique, eco-designed home, Tavian becomes fiercely protective as threats escalate and he journeys across borders to keep his sister safe. Throughout the unfolding events, he also questions whether he will ever reunite with Clio, the girl he loves, amid the revelations that reveal harsh truths about their lives.
