The Mouse Utopia Experiment

The Calhoun Mouse Utopia Experiment, conducted by biologist John Calhoun starting in 1968, was designed to observe how a carefully controlled, ideal environment impacted a self-sustaining mouse population over nearly five years. While focused on understanding rodent behavior and population dynamics, the experiment has since been referenced in discussions about human society, urbanization, and social systems. Its findings continue to influence interpretations of societal trends and challenges.
