The Thirty-Nine Steps

Hanney, a Scottish expatriate living in London, becomes entangled in a tense international intrigue after meeting an American who warns him of an anarchist conspiracy aiming to destabilize Europe. As events unfold, Hannay encounters a series of mysterious deaths, including that of the American and another man, leading him into a suspenseful and possibly dangerous investigation.
