The Revised Geneva Translation (RGT) is a contemporary adaptation of the Geneva Bible, designed to make Scripture accessible for speaking and hearing. Created for an era when many people were illiterate, the RGT captures the rhythmic and poetic essence of Elizabethan literature while updating outdated language and punctuation for clarity. It intentionally excludes commentary, focusing solely on the text to encourage communal sharing and memorization of God's Word.
