Snowflakes in the Wind

In "Snowflakes in the Wind," author Rita Bradshaw presents a poignant tale of resilience and determination. Set against the backdrop of Christmas Eve 1920, the story follows nine-year-old Abby Kirby, who escapes a family tragedy and faces the harsh realities of life in a Border farming community. As she matures into a young woman, Abby navigates love, past trauma, and unforeseen dangers—ultimately volunteering as a nurse during World War II, where she encounters unimaginable challenges as a prisoner of war.
