In a world transformed by the mind-altering technology known as 'shine,' the city of Los Sombres faces chaos after renegade shine causes widespread insanity. Trapped within a quarantine zone, 14-year-old Xavier seeks a way to delay his physical maturity while encountering Roksana, who is immune to the dangerous technology.
